Abstract

This paper analyzes conservation agriculture technologies through diffusion, economic, and ecological factors. The author finds that the economic and diffusion perspectives are complementary in policy analysis. The adoption of conservation agriculture technologies will not occur if policy makers continue to assume that adoption is guided solely by economic rationality.
