Abstract
As I prepared to embark on the challenging and mysterious world of
student teaching, thoughts consistently went racing through my head at a
frantic pace: Will the students respect me? Am I really qualified to educate
over 100 students in US History and Spanish II? Will the students take away
the most vital aspects of these subject areas? Will I properly handle discipline
problems in the classroom? Is this what I really want to do? These questions
were difficult to answer prematurely. Time would surely tell if I had what it
takes to become an educator, a job of extreme importance in today's society.
