Abstract
This research follows the history of the social, political, and economic structures that allow for the construction of undocumentedness as a racialized sociopolitical condition in Los Angeles. Where Undocumentedness has become an identity completely intertwined with its value as a source of labor which is appropriated as a resource for capitalistic interests by the white supremist behavior of the state. Through following the history of Latinx folks in the city and examining where urbanization has physical positioned them in the city to translate where the state positions, and essentially values, them within the social hierarchy of LA.
