The paper that is based on the data obtained from the author´s own research focused on the issue of perception and image of the small towns, presents certain established results from questionnaire surveys aimed at analysis of perception of small Moravian towns from the particular point of view of their inhabitants, specifically perception of the town image, evaluation of different environmental and social dimensions of the living space and their changes, analysis of perception of the quality of life, anxiety and future prospects, and classification of the present most significant problems in life of inhabitants of the small towns.

Příspěvek vycházející z dat získaných z vlastního výzkumu zaměřeného na problematiku vnímání a image malých měst prezentuje některé zjištěné výsledky dotazníkového šetření, jehož cílem byla analýza vnímání malých Moravských měst ze strany jejich obyvatel, konkrétně vnímání obrazu města (genius loci), hodnocení různých dimenzí životního (environmentálního, sociálního) prostoru (lifeworld) a jejich změn, analýza vnímání kvality života, životních obav a perspektiv, a klasifikace současných nejvýznamnějších problémů v životě obyvatel malých měst.
