The purpose of the national report (EGGSIE - Group of experts on Gender, Social Inclusion and Employment) is to inform the Commission ( Equality Unit and country desk) as to: an evaluation of the gender mainstreaming contained in the Common Overview and the National Action Plan on inclusion of the in the National Report on Strategies for Social Protection and Social Inclusion 2006. The new streamlined Open Method of Coordination on Social Protection and Social Inclusion means that the arrangements for the NAPs/social inclusion have been reformed for 2006 onwards. Member States are now charged with submitting an integrated National Report on Strategies for Social Protection and Social Inclusion for the period 2006-08. Gender mainstreaming is not visible at all in the "Common Overview" and the "National Action Plans for Inclusion" even though there is a special short chapter suggesting that it has been applied.

Cílem národní zprávy (EGGSIE – Expertní skupina pro gender, sociální začleňování a zaměstnání) je zprostředkovat Komisi (Equality Unit a country desk) informace o: hodnocení opatření gender mainstreaming obsažených ve Společném přehledu a v Národním akčním plánu sociálního začleňování a v Národní zprávě o strategiích pro sociální ochranu a sociální začleňování 2006. Nová "Otevřená metoda koordinace sociální ochrany a sociálního začleňování" znamená reformu opatření programu NAPs/soc.začl. od roku 2006. Členské státy byly pověřeny úkolem připravit sjednocenou Národní zprávu o strategiích pro sociální ochranu a sociální začleňování na roky 2006-2008. Ani Společný přehled ani Národní akční plán neobsahují žádné zminky tykající se gender mainstreaming, i když existuje jedna krátká kapitola naznačující, že v nich principy gender mainstreaming aplikovány byly.
