Applying the local correlation tracking technique to series of white-light and 1600 Å images acquired by the satellite TRACE, we use photospheric granules and C IV emission structures to track horizontal motions in the vicinity of sunspots. We define the moat regions on the basis of horizontal motions. We present preliminary results about the relations between the sunspot types and the occurrence, areas, and velocities of the moats in the photosphere and chromosphere.

Fotosférické granule a C IV emisní struktury, pozorované satelitem TRACE v bílém světle a v pásmu 1600 Å, jsou využívány k měření horizontálních pohybů v blízkosti slunečních skvrn pomocí metody lokální korelace. Na základě horizontálních pohybů definujeme oblasti „příkopů“ kolem skvrn. Uvádíme předběžné výsledky o vztazích mezi typem skvrn a přítomností, plochou a rychlostmi „příkopů“ ve fotosféře a chromosféře.
