Výstava se uskutečnila v Domě U Kamenného Zvonu na Staroměstském náměstí v Praze ve dnech 4. 11. 2010 – 6. 2. 2011 u příležitosti sedmistého výročí nástupu Jana Lucemburského na český trůn po jeho sňatku s českou princeznou Eliškou Přemyslovnou. Katalog i výstava věnují pozornost umění a kultuře pražského královského dvora posledních Přemyslovců a hlavním osobnostem objednavatelů uměleckých děl, na které navázal zpočátku také dvůr Jana a Elišky (cca 1270-1320). Je připomenuto rovněž prostředí, ze kterého vzešel Jan Lucemburský a dramatický vzestup jeho rodu v první třetině 14. století.

The exhibition took place in the Stone Bell House on Old Town Square in Prague between November 4, 2010 and February 6, 2011, coinciding with the 700th anniversary of the ascent of John of Luxembourg to the Bohemian throne and his marriage to Bohemian Princess Elisabeth Premyslid. The catalogue and the exhibition focus on the art and culture at the Prague royal court during the reign of the last Premyslids and the main commissioners of the works of art. At the beginning, this activity also continued at the court of John and Elisabeth (ca. 1270–1320). John of Luxembourg’s place of origin and the dramatic rise of his dynasty in the first third of the 14th century are also highlighted.
