Cílem článku je informovat o oslavách stého výročí založení Kanceláře slovníku jazyk českého. Výsledky prezentované na letošní výstavě a mezinárodní konferenci Čeština v pohledu synchronním a diachronním – Stoleté kořeny Ústavu pro jazyk český ukazují, že se v průběhu historie Ústav pro jazyk český stal národně reprezentativním a ústředním vědeckým pracovištěm zaměřeným na komplexní výzkum českého jazyka a šíření jeho výsledků. U příležitosti jubilea vydal Ústav pro jazyk český rovněž první elektronickou vědeckou knihu.

This article is an account of celebrating the 100th anniversary of founding the Czech Dictionary Office, the predecessor of todays´ Institute of the Czech Language. The research outcomes presented at this years´ exhibition and conference Čeština v pohledu synchronním a diachronním – Stoleté kořeny Ústavu pro jazyk český (Czech in Synchronic and Diachronic Perspective – Hundred Years of the Institute of the Czech Language) witness to the fact that throughout history the Institute of the Czech Language have become the central institution for complex research of the Czech language and it also gained the role of representing the nation. On the occasion of its 100th anniversary the Institute of the Czech Language published the first scientific e-book.
