The text concentrates on intentions and structure of the hitherto underestimated monumental cycle Slav Epic which consists of 20 mythical, historical and visionary paintings by Alfons Mucha. The essay also includes comparisons with other Symbolist painters and sculptors as well as new reactions of contemporary artists at the beginning of the 21st century.
