Proposition is vague if, in addition to being fuzzy, i.e., amenable to representation by fuzzy sets and relations, “it is insufficiently specific for a particular purpose” [Zadeh]. But in any case, it is clear that fuzziness and vagueness are closely related and might not always be distinguishable in practice. There is some kind of dependency: fuzzy notions systematically give rise to vague language.
