    Sensitivity of the circadian system to temporal change in feeding regime is higher in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) than in controls. At the behavioral level, SHR develop faster food anticipatory activity than control rats and shift completely their locomotor activity rhythm. At the molecular level, their peripheral clock in the liver exhibits larger phase shift due to the change in feeding regime. The results suggested possible involvement of Bmal2 gene in the higher sensitivity of the SHR hepatic clock to the metabolic challenge
