In dem Aufsatz handelt es sich um die Planentendarstellungen im Codex Cusanus 207, die sowohl kunsthistorisch, als auch ikonografisch eingegangen werden. Mit diesen Illustrationen sollte der dritte Teil von Liber de signis et imaginibus celi versehen werden. Der Autor dieses im Mittelalter sehr beliebten astrologisch-astronomischen Kompendiums Michael Scotus betitelt sich selbst an mehreren Textstellen als Hofastrologe von Friedrich II. von Hohenstaufen, in dessen persönlicher Auftrag das genannte Kompendium entstanden sein sollte.

The paper deals with the depiction of planets in the Codex Cusanus 207, which is studied from the point of art history, especially iconographically. These illustrations form a visual component of the third part of the tract Liber de signis et imaginibus celi. The Liber presents a typical medieval compendium comprising the astronomical and astrological material. Its author, Michael Scotus, was active as an astrologer at the Italian court of Friedrich II of Hohenstaufen and according to his own words he composed this treatise in order of the emperor himself.
