Marty's philosophical work is distinct especially as an application of Brentano's descriptive psychology to the study of language in opposition to many of the prominent currents in linguistics and philosophy of language during his time. The international conference is devoted to exploring potential of Marty's intentional view of language in today's philosophy of mind.
