There is no final message provided by the contents of this Special Issue. The PHHQP field of research is by far not at the end of its current developments. Open questions abound in both the applications and in mathematics. In 2014 the newest continuation of the series of the PHHQP-related conferences (in Setif, Algeria) was still well attended and the series is also going to be continued, in Palermo, in 2015.
