Účelem workshopu „Nové pohledy na dějiny dělnického hnutí v letech 1848–1948 v současné české historiografii“ je představit aktuální výzkumy, které se zabývají dějinami dělnického hnutí do nástupu komunistického režimu, a nabídnout jeho účastníkům potřebnou reflexi. Snahou organizátorů je rovněž navázání trvalejší spolupráce zájemců o studium dějin práce, dělnictva a dělnického hnutí z řad odborné veřejnosti.

The purpose of the workshop „New Perspectives on the History of the Workers' Movement in the Years 1848–1948 in Contemporary Czech Historiography“ is to present current research that deals with the history of the workers' movement before the communist movement
regime, and offer its participants the necessary reflection. The organizers also strive to establish more permanent cooperation of those interested in studying the history of labor, labor and the workers' movement from among the professional public.
