Frakce obohacená o fukoxanthin byla efektivně vyrobena z biomasy Phaeodactylum tricornutum pomocí vysokoúčinné protiproudé chromatografie (HPCCC). Tímto způsobem bylo provedeno deset konsekutivních nástřiků (240 mg řasového extraktu získaného z řasy P. tricornutum/1 nástřik), jež vedly k účinné separaci fukoxanthinu (38 mg). Propustnost zpracování řasového extraktu byl 0,189 g/h, zatímco účinnost na gram fukoxanthinu byla 0,003 g/h. Vyprodukovaná frakce fukoxanthinu vykazovala čistotu 85 % s obsahem 15 % mastných kyselin s nutraceutickými a kosmetickými benefity.


A fucoxanthin-enriched fraction was efficiently produced from Phaeodactylum tricornutum biomass by high performance countercurrent chromatography (HPCCC). Ten consecutive injections (240 mg of algal extract obtained from P. tricornutum algae / 1 injection) were performed in this way, resulting in the efficient separation of fucoxanthin fraction (38 mg). The process throughput was 0.189 g/h, while the efficiency per gram of fucoxanthin was 0.003 g/h. The fucoxanthin fraction produced showed a purity of 85% containing 15% fatty acids with nutraceutical and cosmetic benefits.
