The paper focuses on migration and residential mobility of foreigners in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. It documents (1) the amount and changes in the intensity of migration of foreigners in Central Bohemia based on flow data from migration registers for municipalities and districts of Prague and (2) the development of residential trajectories of foreigners between types of environments in municipalities in Central Bohemia and urban zones of Prague based on comparison of geocoded status data provided by Foreign Police. We analyze the foreign population as a whole and selected large groups residing in Central Bohemia in the period 2005–2018. The residential mobility of foreigners here is largely related to age, foreigners most often move to slightly ethnically diversified areas - but the results for groups differ. The highest probability of residential mobility was found in foreigners living in a less stable environment of workers' hostels, student dormitories, hotels and hostels. In conclusion, we discuss the implications of the results for the socio-spatial differentiation of Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.
