Stefan Minica onderzocht het stellen van vragen binnen het kader van dynamisch epistemische logica (een vorm van logica waarin kennis wordt gemodelleerd). Hiertoe definieerde hij een groot aantal actiemodellen voor vragen en ontwikkelde hij een theoretisch kader en verschillende logica’s waarmee geredeneerd kan worden over vraagacties. Ook onderzocht hij hoe de analyse van realistische scenario’s van vragen in onderzoekingen kan worden geïmplementeerd. Op deze manier levert hij een kader waarbinnen vragen in hun ingewikkelde conceptuele, logische en praktische onderlinge afhankelijkheid begrepen en geanalyseerd kunnen worden.
