- Abstract
- This article provides an overview of the special section devoted to the legacy of Franz von Benda-Beckmann in the field of legal pluralism. It describes the Motivation for the special section and introduces the various contributions. It finally identifies some common threads, emphasizing that von Benda-Beckmann's most significant contribution has been to put legal pluralism on the academic map.
