Entre inclusiòn y exclusiòn: trayectorias laborales juveniles en contexto de crisis

In this working paper we propose an analytical map of different work trajectories and identities of young people in a context of crisis, the Mezzogiorno d'Italia. This name refers not only to a geographical space, i. e. southern Italy, but also a semantic space – a category that is almost synonymous of economic stagnation and consequent difficulties in the integration of young people into the labor market. We analyzed the different strategies used by young people to build their identity and work history, when entering the labor market in a context of prolonged crisis. The analysis shows that different endowments of social, economic and educational capital gain significant weight in the definition of the different paths. In our opinion, the profiles we identified allow to design the analytical map that we now propose to the discussion of the scientific community.
