This research deals with a multidisciplinary analysis of the incidence of social and demographic, economic and environmental indicators in landscape transformation in a rural area of Central Italy, the Lake Trasimeno area, (Region of Umbria) and shows the close correlation with changes in land use. By calculating indicators such as the Dependence Index, the Oldness Index, the Activity Index and the Shannon Index, transformations which took place in a period of around 30 years and also present shifts in dynamics are described.
