Abstract: |
This is an introductory chapter to learning disabilities. Initially, for the first time in Greek bibliography, a distinction is made between learning difficulties, learning disabilities and learning disorders, which is a basic condition for the didactic inclusion of all students with special learning needs. Then, each category is presented thoroughly, so that the reader understands the differences between them and the way they are reflected in reading, spelling and writing. Special reference is made to the evaluation of the difficulties in written speech. Finally, an introduction to the Specific Learning Disorders of Written Speech is attempted.
