Abstract
Yüksek Lisans tezi olarak hazırlanan, bu çalışmanın konusu, "İpek Ongun'un " Bir Genç Kızın Gizli Defteri" adlı kitabında eğitim amaçlı iletilerin sınıflandırılması ve çözümlenmesi"dir. Amacı ise, bu kitapta 12 yaş ve üstü çocuklara yönelik ne gibi iletiler olduğunu görme, eğitimsel yanlarının derecesini araştırma ve bunların işlevlerini değerlendirmektir. Bu çalışmayı, amacına götürebilmek için, giriş bölümünde, öncelikle çocuk kimdir sorusu ele alınmış, edebiyat kavramına ve çocuğun edebiyattaki yerine değinilmiştir. Ayrıca çocuk edebiyatının nitelikleri üzerinde durulmuş, eğitim sözcüğü açıklanmış ve eğitimin çocuk kitaplarındaki yeri belirtilmiştir. İleti ve iletilerin çocuk kitapları aracılığıyla nasıl bir dili ve işlevi olması gerektiği, alanlarında uzman kişilerin kitaplarından yararlanarak açıklanmıştır. Ana metin "Varlıksal ve Öznel İletiler " olarak iki bölüme ayrılmıştır. Varlıksal İletiler bölümünde, kitabın 12 yaş ve üstü çocuklara yönelik olmasından dolayı, ergenlik psikolojisi üzerinde yoğunlaşılmıştır. Bu yüzden yine konunun uzman kişileri tarafından yazılmış kitaplardan faydalanarak, ergenlik dönemi açıklanmıştır. Yazarın ergenin aile ve arkadaş ilişkilerini ele alan, fiziksel, kişilik, duygusal ve ahlâk gelişimini de kapsayan iletileriyle bu bilgilerin örtüşüp örtüşmediği incelenmiştir. Öznel İletiler bölümünde ise, yazarın genç okuruna göndermek istediği, dünya ve yaşam anlayışına ilişkin iletiler gösterilmiştir. Sonuçta da yazarın iletilerinin, yaşamın gerçeklerinden yola çıkarak, ergenlik döneminde bulunan çocukların çevreleriyle olan ilişkilerine, kişilik, duygusal ve ahlâk gelişimlerine katkıda bulunduğu görülmüştür. Fakat kitapta, genç okurun,Türk millî kültürünü tanımasına yönelik motiflere rastlanmamış, çalışma içinde örneklendirilen iletilerle, çocuğun kendi kültürünü tanımadan, yabancı kültürlere açıldığı bir eksiklik olarak görülmüştür. Ve yine yazarın, bizim toplumumuzdaki somut, olumlu baba modellerini göz ardı ederek, çok daha popüler olan bir batılı dizideki baba modeline yönelmesi, Türk toplumundaki babalardan umudunu kesmiş izlenimi vermektedir. Bu da görülen ayrı bir eksiklik olmuştur. Yazarın, gençlerin sıkılmadan takip edebilecekleri bir dil kullandığı görülmüş, ancak kitapta baskıdan kaynaklandığını düşündüğümüz imlâ hataları, gereksiz noktalama işaretleri ve uzun cümlelerin yer aldığı saptamıştır. Ayrıca yazarın günlük konuşma dilinde yer alan ve argo diye tabir edilen sözcükleri kullanması da üzerinde düşünülmesi gereken bir diğer nokta olmuştur. Son olarak da ergenlik dönemi içinde bulunan çocuklara yönelik daha fazla eserin verilmesi, iletilerin dolaylı yollardan kitabın içeriğinde yer alması, yazarların çocuğun içinde bulunduğu dönemlerin özelliklerini göz önünde bulundurması, çocuk kitaplarının niteliklerinin arttırılması için çocuk kitaplarının analizine yönelik çalışmalar yapılması, bu alanda uzmanlaşmış eleştirmenlerin yetiştirilmesine teşvik edilmesi öneri olarak sunulmuştur.
The subject of this master thesis is the classification and the analysis of educational messages of " Bir Genç Kızın Gizli Defteri" by İpek Ongun.The aim of the thesis is to view what kind of messages exist for children at the age of 12 and above,to explore the level of educational features and to evaluate the the functionality of these features. In order to reach this aim,primarily the question of "who is a child" is considered in the first chapter.Literature and the child in literature is studied in this chapter and the features of the child literature is analyzed.Education and how the education is handled in children books is analyzed.lt is explained by utilizing the books of the expert authors what the messages is,and how should be the language and the function of a message.The main text is divided into two section :"Existential Messages and Subjective Messages".What with the book is targetting those children at 12 and above,focused on the bachelorhood psychology. That's why,the bachelorhood period is explained by the use of expert authors' books.lt is studied whether the author's messages about family, frindship, growing, personality, emotional and moral development are in accordance with those data of the expert author's books.In the subjective messages part,these messages about the world and life understanding which the author wishes to send the young reader is demonstrated.By the end,it is seen that the author's messages arising from the facts of life are contributing to the personel,emotional,formal and enviromental development of those children in their bachelorhood period. Unfortunatelly, those motives for the bachelorhood period.Unfortunatelly, those motives for the young reader to know his national culture are not existing in the book. It is a lack of the book that the child to open up foreign cultures before knowing his native culture; and the examples of this situation is demonstrated in the study. Also,the author doesn't care the concrete, positive father type in our society, but preferred a father type you may see in a western film which is much more popular. This situation gives an impression as if the author is not hopeful for the fathers in the Turkish society. This is another important lack of the author to be notified. The language of the book is not boring for the young readers. But there exist several grammatical mistakes, unnecessary punctuation and long phrases. Besides,the author used slang,which should be considered carefully unless applied for the wealth of explanation. In conclusion, it is proposed that much more looks should be published aiming bachelorhood children; messages should be given indirectly; The authors should consider the features of the various childhood periods, studies for the analysis of the children books should be performed in order to improve the qualification of the children books, and it should be encouraged the training of the critics who are experienced in this field are presented as a proposal.
