The essay deals with the theme of the violation of nature and expressiveness in the last two texts published by Anna Maria Ortese, Alonso e i visionari and Corpo celeste. Two opposing visions of relationship with nature and two antithetical conceptions of expressiveness emerge: while the destruction of nature excludes compassion for the living, instead love for all beings, animate and inanimate, is the basis of constant participation to everyone's fate, which alone can allow the safeguarding of life in all its forms and the sharing of breath with all the beings that inhabit the earth, the celestial body that hosts us.

Abstract

The essay deals with the theme of the violation of nature and expressiveness in the last two texts published by Anna Maria Ortese, Alonso e i visionari and Corpo celeste. Two opposing visions of relationship with nature and two antithetical conceptions of expressiveness emerge: while the destruction of nature excludes compassion for the living, instead love for all beings, animate and inanimate, is the basis of constant participation to everyone's fate, which alone can allow the safeguarding of life in all its forms and the sharing of breath with all the beings that inhabit the earth, the celestial body that hosts us.
