Abstract

A quantum-percolation model is used to discuss experimental transport properties of the YBa2Cu3-xLixO6.5+y and Bi2Sr2CaCu2-xLixO8+y superconducting oxides. A cross-over from variable-range hopping conduction, in the insulating and semimetallic states, to Coulomb gap conduction in the metallic state is observed. This provides evidence of the correlated disorder-induced localized character of the unusual metallic dependence of high-Tc superconductors.
