An internal target consisting of a beam of light gases is presented. This apparatus is based on the modifications to the cooling and pumping system of an already existing device. Clusterization in O2, N2 and H2 is obtained with jet densities up to 2 × 1014 molecules/cm2 but no evidence of He condensation is observed even at the minimum available nozzle temperature.

Abstract

An internal target consisting of a beam of light gases is presented. This apparatus is based on the modifications to the cooling and pumping system of an already existing device.
