The essay interprets the different stages of the development of Rome in the last sixty years, according to the construction of residential fabrics in his belt device. The aim of this study is to investigate the different conformations that urban landscapes have taken over the years on account of the mechanisms and procedures that have determined them: urban strategies, zoning regulations, production requirements, the nature of social phenomena. Within the notion of landscape seems to be able to sum up all the conditions that define the characteristics of an urban fabric: from its physical conformation, the relationship between building structures and open spaces, the relations with the environmental framework, to the ways of Use , the figurative aspects of nature to those emotional and behavioral

Il saggio interpreta le diverse fasi dello sviluppo di Roma negli ultimi sessant’anni in funzione della costruzione dei tessuti residenziali nella sua cintura periferica. Obiettivo dello studio è indagare le differenti conformazioni che i paesaggi urbani hanno assunto nel corso degli anni in ragione dei meccanismi e delle procedure che li hanno determinati: strategie urbane, norme urbanistiche, esigenze produttive, fenomeni di natura sociale. All’interno della nozione di paesaggio sembra infatti di poter riassumere tutte le condizioni che definiscono i caratteri di un tessuto urbano: dalla sua conformazione fisica, alle relazioni tra organismi edilizi e spazi aperti; dai rapporti con il quadro ambientale, ai modi d’uso; dagli aspetti figurativi a quelli di natura emozionale e comportamentale
