Abstract
Through an examination of the various meanings of the term 'nature' in the Platonic Theology and other works, it is shown how Ficino get to build a complex concept that integrates and retains in a syncretistic way the meaning of Aristotle's 'nature' with those of the stoic and neoplatonic tradition, a conception which Ficino finds very useful in the solution of the various problems (metaphysical, gnoseological, natural) he faces in his works. Particular consideration is given to the neoplatonic meaning of the term as 'degree of reality' for the developments, which we examine here the first time, in the treaty 'Panarchy' of the Nova de universis philosophia by Francesco Patrizi of Cres, where it is provided a strictly logical deduction of it, and that will influence the design of the nature of such Cambridge Platonists as Ralph Cudworth.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
