This article is concerned with the activity of the German pastor B. Ringwaldt (1530/31 - 1599) as a translator. In 1597 Ringwaldt translated Daniel Cramer's Latin comedy "Plagium" (1593). The translation was his last work and belong to his minor writings. The essential aim of this paper is to compare Ringwaldt's tranlation with the original and with two other contemporaneous translations. The results of the comparison will enable us to make some remarks not only about Ringwaldt's translation method, but also about his own style as a writer.
