The diffusion of high speed submerged jets is herein analysed to study the basic phenomenon induced by jet grouting treatments. Different simulations have been carried out to calculate the longitudinal and transverse velocity profiles of jets diffusing within homogeneous fluid masses having same composition of the injected one. A numerical model is initially created with a finite element code considering the typical boundary conditions of single jet grouting. The model is then calibrated with the results of experimental tests retrieved in the literature. Thereafter a parametric study is performed to singularly evaluate the role of the most relevant injection parameters. Finally a comparison is presented between the results obtained by the parametric calculation with theoretical relations available in the literature.
