The concept of Cultural Heritage has expanded from single monument to its context, promoting new forms of participation and social cohesion. It has also changed the vision that the society has of this heritage. Therefore, it is necessary to allow new functions in old buildings, without altering the original identity and values, testified by its history. The church of St. Aniello at Caponapoli, symbol of the oldest Christian penetration on the acropolis of Neapolis, offers an interesting model for the implementation of a project not only of enhancement but also of tourism promotion. This is an important aspect of the new "networking" of the monument inside the community, which is now under study.
