The aim of this thesis was to study the advances in the evaluation of cardiovascular function by 2D and real-time 3D stress echocardiography and vascular stiffness measurements. Stress echocardiography is a widely used non-invasive stress modality for the detection of coronary artery disease The Part A of the thesis is focusing on this method demonstrating the current status of 2D and real-time 3D echocardiography (RT3DE).
