This small opinion paper discusses the decision by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) to stop their participation in standardisation committee of the Dutch Standardisation Institute NEN that provides the Dutch input for the international standardisation in this area, in committees of the International Organization for Standardization ISO.
