Abstract
This thesis contains of: 1) Studies describing the pathogenesis of infantile haemangioma 2) The development of a novel scoring system for infantile haemangioma activity 3) Studies evaluating different therapy options for infantile haemangioma
Hypoxia is important in the pathogenesis of infantile haemangioma but the exact mechanism is not clear yet. As for the therapy, when treatment is necessary, propranolol has become the first choice of treatment but for topical use the best option and concentration is not yet clear. Therefore more research is still necessary!
