Thesis (D. Min.)--Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, 2019.
This doctoral thesis seeks to explore and expose the various dynamics of the pulpit work of James Forbes, mostly at the Riverside Church in Manhattan. Throughout this doctoral thesis, I am going to explore my own personal theology of preaching; the literature that has helped to shape my theology of preaching; James Forbes' creativity in the pulpit and how it has influenced my pulpit work; and, James Forbes' prophetic ministry and how it has influenced my growth and development in the prophetic tradition.
