Abstract

In his address from the chair at the opening of the annual meet[ing] of the American Institute of Mining Engineers, in New York, on February 17, Mr. James C. Bayles, president, expressed some views with regard to the conditions of success in manufacturing which are different from those usually held by writers on economic subjects.
