The literature on the subject has been scarce, so the present study intends to contribute to increase the knowledge in this area. The study begins with a theoretical perspective, which addresses the key concepts inherent to the theme. The research question guiding this research is: "What is the origin of consumer interest in the area of Pop Culture, what are the psychosocial factors and motivations involved in the purchasing decision process and what are the contributions of these products after their acquisition?". Due to the exploratory nature of this research, a qualitative study was carried out, involving 38 consumers of Pop Culture products that were interviewed during the four days of Comic Con Portugal 2017. The results conclude that emotions are present in the purchasing process and the origins of interest begin in the first years of the consumer life. |
