Description: | With the dispersal of imperial artists, Rajasthani schools absorbed the masterly techniques and polished elegance of the Mughal style. The painting shows a festive crowd set against a spacious pool and palace. The naturalistic approach, spacious background, and use of perspective are Mughal traits the Indian tradition is evident chiefly in the costumes, the shape of the eyes, and the intensity of the colours. |
