Abstract: In this piece we reflect on our engagement by discussing our experience of setting up a Master’s programme in Organization of Cultural Diversity at Tilburg University, together with a multidisciplinary, culturally diverse team including anthropologists, linguists, psychologists, organization studies and religion scholars from the faculties of Social and Behavioural Sciences and the Humanities. We believe this programme can contribute to building a more inclusive society by forming professionals who raise embarrassing questions and confront orthodoxy and dogma rather than mere ‘technicians’ of diversity (Said 1994; Ball 1995).
