Abstract: In recent years, an impressive trend of Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) from emerging countries, especially from China, has been increasing rapidly. This phenomenon attracts me a lot. At the present stage, FDI from China shows some differences in investment mode and purpose, which aims to improve the overall level of Chinese enterprises' scientific and technological ability and international competitiveness. As a special form of investment, overseas-based business incubators capture our attention. In this thesis, by using the case study method, I aim to discover the main role of this new form of FDI, overseas-based business incubators from China, and to find out if it supports or even affects Chinese enterprises' internationalisation. This thesis is comprised of an introduction, literature review, cases analysis and conclusion regarding the special phenomenon of reverse FDI; overseas-based business incubators from China.
