Abstract
The eighth Melbourne Gay Community Periodic Survey provides a cross-sectional survey of gay and homosexually active men in Melbourne in 2006. Data were collected on the nature of sexual relationships, anal and oral sexual practices, the use of condoms, testing for HIV and sexually transmissible infections and serostatus, aspects of social attachment to gay community, and recreational drug use, in addition to a range of demographic items including sexual identity, age, occupation and ethnicity. Time Dimensions: Repeated cross-sectional study. Sampling Procedures: Men were recruited through seven sites: six gay community venues and Midsumma Carnival. Kind of Data: Survey.
