PLACES OF DESIGN BETWEEN REPRESENTATION AND CONCEPTION OF IDEAIn the embryonic state of creative process development, designs can be considered as works of art and configured as a laboratory for the adjustment of a system able to develop shapes and mould idea. This laboratory is the place where a synthesis is reached between nature, mathematics, geometry on the one hand and utopia, imagination and functional needs on the other hand.The analysis of the plan designs of the architects Calatrava and Holl highlights how design, apart from the used technique, plays an instrumental role in interpreting reality, with the hope that the added artifact could be the synthesis between imagination and experience of places.
