For any producer on a limited budget with the goal to create a live-to-tape multi camera broadcast television program without a live television production control system, there are preferred directing, editing, and equipment production strategies the producer can utilize, along with an artistic and entrepreneurial spirit to create a quality program and satisfy preferred broadcast standards. This project will consider comparable television broadcasts and films, applicable literature, discuss associated production methods, and explain the production and subsequent successful airing of a small budget multi-camera sports television program featuring a professional bicycle race that was recorded and produced in San Diego, and which largely adhered to network broadcast standards. The DVD of the three broadcasts and documentary film mentioned in this paper, an appendix to this report, is available for viewing at the Media Center of Love Library.
