Abstract

Couples involved in “status-reversal relationships,” where women hold higher status than their male partners, may experience barriers to healthy interaction. This research brief presents a summary of findings produced from a recent study that will soon be published in the journal Violence Against Women. The study tested the relationship between education and employment status differences in couples and experiences of Intimate Partner Violence victimization among 303 female Texas residents involved in heterosexual relationships.
