The PDS-XADS Project was a major step of a consistent European effort towards the detailed design of an integral installation far the ADS technology demonstration. Its main objective was to make a reasonable detailed description of an ADS plant so that the technical feasibility of ADS far coupling accelerator technology with nuclear reactor technology is demonstrated. Within the frame. of the Project, the goal of the present document is to summarize the design activities on the 80 MWth LBE-cooled XADS and the MYRRHA plant performed by the 26 organizations involved. Information dispersed in several documents has been gathered here with a description of all the main components and systems (accelerator, care, target, etc.). The document highlights the main results of the analyses carried out (neutronic, thermal-hydraulic, structural, etc.) including a synthesis of the performed safety analyses.
