Horror w tekstach dla młodego odbiorcy (rekonesans badawczy)
Authors:
- Katarzyna Joanna Tałuć
Abstract
The author gives some thoughts on the popularity of horror genres. The source of this fascination according to the author, is a desire for the uncanny, but also the readers’ ludic style of reception. The researcher shows how the mass culture uses readers’ fascination, and how on such a basis the popculture „empire of signs” (including movies, toys and gadgets) is built. Certain kind of intertextuality of popular culture, which adopts various registers of art, was also mentioned in the article. Therefore, conscious participation of youth in the pop culture might be, according to the author, the lesson of reading the world.
