Abstract

The Korean Household Panel Study (KHPS) is a survey of the overall financial activities of a set group of individuals and households conducted each year from 1993 to 1998. This research survey attempts to examine the financial activities and socio-demographic characteristics of households and household members from a micro-dynamic perspective, and to investigate how fluctuations in exogenous variables including government policies have affected each financial body and the resulting changes in their behavioral patterns.
This is the first edition of the Korean Household Panel Study and the questionnaire includes contents such as member conditions of sample household, understanding of financial situation, state of current residence, household income status, status of consumption expenditures, evaluation of household financial status, and state of financial investments.
