Abstract

「고령화연구패널조사」(Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing, 이하 KLoSA)는 한국노동연구원이 고령화 정책 및 제도 연구에 활용될 기초자료를 생산하기 위해 2006년부터 시행해 온 대규모 조사연구 사업이다. KLoSA는 만 45세 이상의 중고령자들로 구성된 10,254명의 패널을 대상으로 기본조사와 특별조사로 나뉘어 실시된다. 기본조사는 중고령인구의 생활과 소득 및 경제활동 상태의 변화를 추적하는 데 초점을 두고 격년 주기로 실시되며, 특별조사는 심층연구를 위한 특정 주제모듈을 다루고자 기본조사 시행연도 사이에 실시된다.
KLoSA의 기본조사 설문지는 중고령자의 고용 현황과 소득수준 및 자산규모에 관한 정보뿐만 아니라 가족관계와 건강 및 주관적 의식세계를 파악할 수 있는 문항들을 포함함으로써 노동경제학, 사회학, 사회복지학, 보건학, 가족학, 노년학 등에 걸친 학제간 연구가 가능하도록 설계되어 있으며, 동시에 미국의 HRS(Health and Retirement Survey), 영국의 ELSA(English Longitudinal Study of Ageing), 유럽의 SHARE(Survey of Helath, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) 등 선진 연구팀들과의 협력을 통해 국가간 비교연구가 가능하도록 설계되어 있다.
이 자료는 2008년에 시행된 제2차 기본조사에서 수집된 것으로 그 설문지는 인구사회적 배경, 가족, 건강, 고용, 소득과 소비, 자산, 주관적 기대감과 삶의 질 등 7개의 주제 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 가족 영역에는 가족 부양과 돌봄 및 수발, 건강 영역에는 건강상태와 의료보장 및 의료이용, 고용 영역에는 고용상태와 일에 대한 태도, 소득과 소비 영역에는 소득원천별 현황과 가계지출 및 저축 현황, 자산 영역에는 주거 상황과 자산 및 부채 현황, 주관적 기대감과 삶의 질 영역에는 연금 및 수명에 대한 기대와 삶에 대한 만족 등에 관한 문항들이 포함되어 있다.
