In its 5 chapters, the text explores the relationship between circular economy and construction technologies within the quintuple helix innovation model, addressing the transition to circular construction as an driver innovation for the sector. The post-disaster settlements and temporary shelters, Interpreted through the paradigms of Circular Design, are taken as examples of Circular Building with reference to the technical characteristics, the reversibility of materials / components / processes, as well as to the social and participatory dimension. Both theoretical aspects and project experiments addressed highlight how "Low" Technologies can enable the transition processes, which will supported in the future scenario by European research and its possible developments, in line with the response to current technical and social challenges. The text is part of the ITKM¬Innovation, Technology, and Knowledge Management series directed by Prof. Elias G. Abstract

Elias G. Carayannis, who developed the Quadruple and Quintuple Helix Innovation models together with David F.J. Campbell
