Abstract/Description:
An interview with Del Brook Binns (1928-), a photographer who captured the people, places, and lives of Lower Roxbury. Binns talks about his early childhood memories of the neighborhood: helping his father, Hurrban H. Binns, in his grocery store; delivering "The Afro-American" newspaper and "Liberty" magazines as a newsboy; and attending the informal meetings of the Professional Businessmen's Club in Shag Taylor's drugstore. This interview was collected as part of Northeastern University's Lower Roxbury Black History Project (2007-2009).
